How does SureSmile® work?
Step One: SureSmile® creates a comprehensive 3D model of your mouth, jaws, and teeth, including the roots. This model allows us to examine the positioning and orientation of your teeth. After planning your treatment, we can also use the 3D model to show you your expected results.
Step Two: The SureSmile® software provides tools to analyze your teeth and roots, helping us develop the most effective plan tailored to your unique needs. By manipulating virtual simulations of your mouth, we can optimize your treatment for greater efficiency and accuracy in achieving your desired outcomes.
Step Three: Once your treatment plan is finalized, the SureSmile® system employs a robot to precisely bend Shape Memory Alloy archwires to fit your specific requirements. Similar to traditional braces, these wires apply gentle pressure to gradually shift your teeth into their ideal positions. However, SureSmile®’s robotic customization offers accuracy within one-tenth of a millimeter, surpassing the precision of manual bending techniques.
